Samuel P. Hechtman, has extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation claims. He has successfully represented thousands of injured persons in Workers’ Compensation cases before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board. Sam has also defended numerous uninsured employers and has succeeded in rescinding and/or protecting uninsured employers from hundreds of thousands of dollars of penalties for insurance compliance infractions. Sam is a member of the Staten Island and Suffolk County Bar associations. He is also very active in the Nassau County Bar Association where he serves on the Workers’ Compensation Committee. Sam is also involved with alumni and legal organizations with American University, Washington College of Law and Emory University. Sam was born in Manhasset, Long Island and attended Emory University where he was a member of Phi Betta Kappa. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Emory in 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law in 1999. Sam has been licensed to practice law in New Jersey since 2002 and New York since 2003, and has been an Attorney with the Ugalde & Rzonca, LLP since 2005.
